Beloved husband , father and friend;
 
William Donald “Don” Goyette, Jr., 84, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.
 
He was the loving husband of 48 years of Liette (Faucher) Goyette, who survives him.
 
Born in Springfield, MA, February 3, 1938, the son of the late William Donald Goyette, Sr. and the late Winifred (Shea) Goyette, he attended Springfield schools and was a graduate of Springfield Tech.
 
A veteran of the Vietnam  War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
 
Don continued his education with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Michael’s College in Vermont followed by a Master’s in English Literature  from Northeastern University, and a Master’s in Library Science from Simmons University.
 
In a career which spanned over 40 years, Don retired as the Library Director at Moosilauke Public Library in Woodstock, NH and was previously the Librarian at Pelham Public Library in Pelham, NH.
 
Devoted to his faith he was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Parish and a member of the choir for many years.  

Among his many interests, Don was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, hiking and travelling with family.

Besides his wife, Don is survived by his daughter Diane Goyette and her husband Mike Sylvester of Manchester, NH; cousins Bernard Shea, Mariann Galimbert and Edward Finneran, and many loving in-laws, cousins nieces and nephews.
 
Friends may call Thursday morning February 24, 2022 at the PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM from 10 to 11:30 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at ST.
